TREATMENT OPTIONS
I offer the following Holistic Massage treatments, which are all tailored to suit your individual requirements. I recommend at least a 60-minute massage as I will work on the full body though some areas will possibly need missing out, whereas a 45-minute massage will only cover the back, neck, shoulders and back of the neck only.

I like to massage your abdomen as I feel that this is such an integral part of our body that we shouldn’t miss it out! However, if you feel uncomfortable about that, please let me know. Similarly, any other body parts that you don’t feel comfortable being massaged, we can work around.
FULL BODY MASSAGE
A classic massage is often known as a Swedish Massage. This mainly involves manipulating and loosening the muscles to relieve tension and also the main quality is to promote relaxation. I work by stimulating nerve endings through kneading, long strokes, deep circular movements and passive joint movements, which work by stimulating nerve endings and increasing blood flow, ultimately meaning lymph (i.e. waste) drainage.
However I also use Deep Tissue Massage techniques for those tougher injuries or pain symptoms. It is a much tougher type of massage with more pressure, but it facilitates healing by releasing contracted areas of muscle and tissue. It can help increase blood flow to the soft tissues and may help to reduce inflammation.
MANUAL LYMPHATIC MASSAGE (excluding Lymphedema)
This is a completely relaxing treatment, which is oil-free and with very light pressure. It is gentle and relaxes the sympathetic system, allowing cell oxygenation and nourishment, while activating the removal of metabolic waste. It is detoxifying and a real help to improve your immunity or when you feel you've had a toxin overload.
It is beneficial for all, but particularly if you suffer from headaches, sinus, gut or skin problems, or if you have recently had surgery (including cancer treatment).
PREGNANCY MASSAGE
If you are in the second or third trimester, then I would love to give you a completely relaxing treatment. I will make you comfortable and adapt my practises to whatever is most comfortable for you! For example, you might be comfiest on your side, leaning over, sitting (propped) up. But I will still be able to work on your neck, shoulders, arms, legs, feet and your growing baby bump (if you feel comfortable with that). You will come out of the treatment feeling lighter, relaxed and hopefully a bit more energised!
JAPANESE FACIAL (TSUBO) ACUPRESSURE MASSAGE
This has to be one of my favourite treatments. It might say "face" but it feels like a whole body treatment as I look at Ki energy flowing through your meridians, and open any blockages via "Tsubo" (acupresure) points. This treatment is highly relaxing and I use a lovely camellia face oil.... Bonus is that it benefits the whole body and also gives you a natural face lift!
I can also add a 30 minute version of this treatment onto a body massage if booked in advance.
HOT & COLD STONES MASSAGE
Yes, you did read it correct – it’s hot and cold stones that I use. Hot stone massage is simply lovely. It combines the benefits of Hydrotherapy and Thermatherapy with massage strokes to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment.
I use the hot basalt stones to warm the muscles, preparing the musculature of the body so I can work into the deeper muscle layers. Some stones are places as trigger points along the body, and then I massage using the stones, interspersing with cold stones which aid inflammation, circulation skin tightening as well as nasal decongestion and many other benefits. A variety of different sized stones are used in this treatment.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
I can offer you a wonderful addition to your treatment by adding on an Indian Head Massage (usually done before a massage, but I can be flexible!). You sit on a specific chair and let your hair down (literally if possible). I use specific techniques to relax your shoulders and then release neck tension and work on the scalp and hair itself. It's truly beautiful.
